Donors including the European Union have invested 6 million euros in a project, headed by the UN Food and Agriculture (FAO), to combat drought and famine in the Sahel, by finding ways to raise agricultural yields in this unforgiving part of the world. The project has led to increases of up to 100% in over half of Niger's farmer villages. FAO presented this film and its findings at a high level meeting held in Addis Ababa to focus on renewed efforts to end hunger in Africa.
